THANKSGIVING...

I have recently just purchased my first Bible, quite something having reached the Beatles classic song age.

No I have not become a 'basher' - more a seeker. So every so often I read a passage from The New Testament as the 5 Books leaves me terribly confused, even though I was brought up as a 'chosen one'...

On Thanksgiving morning I decided to do a random flip hoping to get a revelation, the below title hit my eye and I thought to myself, that doesn't work for today, I'll pick again, a little voice in my head told me not to be such a fake and stay true to my selection AND believe - to say I was blown away when I read on, is to put it extremely mildly!!!

Some Will Depart from the Faith 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.
